 What My Customers are Saying:

  • Hi Norm:

My next gallon of BAAM was waiting for me when I got back from M3. Passed out the fliers at my local airport. Better yet (advertising-wise), I had flown through a literal CLOUD of bugs on final approach. My wings, cowl, prop and windshield looked like they had taken a shotgun blast at close range. Since I was out of BAAM and tired, I waited overnight to get them off - it was a mess, wish I had pictures! Anyway, the next day, armed with my new bottle of BAMM, I headed back to the airport to clean things up. I let one of the "hangar hounds" do a comparison test. One wing with just water misted on and a wet microfiber cloth, the other wing with BAAM misted on. Made an instant believer out of him and the other onlookers!

BTW for the rest of you, I was originally a skeptic of BAAM. I knew the chemistry behind Norm's product and thus knew it would work, but thought it couldn't be any better than REJEX applied regularly and a damp cloth to scrub off bugs between REJEX applications. I finally broke down and did the same comparison test. Washed and waxed the plane, coated the leading edges and cowl on one side of the plane with REJEX. Coated the other side with BAAM. Flew the plane for a month in mid-summer without doing any post-flight cleaning (which in the south is BUG HELL), Then I tried to get the bugs off. The BAAM side just wiped clean after applying a light coat of BAAM to dissolve them. The other side required a complete wash job to get the crusty critters off! Convinced me!

So, as an un-compensated testimonial: TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT!.

  • Hey Norm, some time past I made a comment on this form that I used Baam on everything except the plexi. Well, now I use it on the plexi and the MFD and the Garmins. I got rid of the wash/waxall the Fantastic, the Prist, the Brillintize etc. Now its just one bottle. Works great.

  • Guys this stuff is unbelievable. I just took some over to a hanger buddy of mine yesterday that built a Zenair 701 and started flying off his experimental hours a couple of weeks ago. He had tons of bugs on his leading edges but was afraid to touch his relatively new paint job with anything but water. Needless to say, water was worthless. I talked him into trying Norm’s stuff and he was absolutely amazed. Quite honestly I was too. The bugs just wiped away! Absolutely no damage to the new paint. I had told him that after a couple of applications the bugs would come off easier but really even the first worked great. Jones SR22-G2

  • "COPA MEMBERS:  I'll tell you this.  After using BAAM regularly for about four months, the BUGS practically fall off by thimself now.  After landing, I grab the spray bottle of BAAM and spray the leading edges, windshield, cowl, wings, wheel pants, and tail.  Then I put down the botttle, grab the microfiber towel, walk around again wiping off the BAAM along with the bugs.  It requires, NO rubbing at all.  Just wipe and they come off.  Then I get down and do the belly.  I've had my plane six months and have never washed it...and it's always perfectly clean.  I think BAAM is a great product."  I'm on my third reorder.  J.Z. SR20 #1372

  • “Norm has been dropping of samples to me of his BAAM product every time he would fly in to visit his son in Indianapolis, at first I thought it was just another cleaner but now I think it’s the greatest aircraft cleaner going.  I’ve been using it on a couple corporate jets that base here and  ones that may just come in for the day and service.   I’ve also been using it on our rental fleet and all of us are amazed at how well it works on the windscreens, deicing systems, airplane wash for both jets and prop planes and how easy it is to maintain them after this product is used.  Nothing sticks hard to surfaces and it’s so easy to apply, it looks like nothing but it works.”  Montgomery Aviation, Steve Alcorn at TYQ

  • " Dear Norm, I applied the product as per your instructions and am happy to report that the results are truly amazing.  The bugs came off real easy and so did the oil run off.  I will be giving a pirep on the members' forum. "  Raj  Bettendorf, IA

  • "Norm, I used BAAM on my Cirrus SR22 before and during a recent 2 day cross country in the Southeast.  To give you an idea of volume of bugs I experienced, in South Georgia, they were spraying for mosquitos next to the airport where I stopped to refuel.  Also one of my destinations was an Island airport in the middle of a river.  I have flown here before and the entire front of the airplane looked like it had encountered flak over Europe, WWII style - Bugs everywhere.  Even what appeared to be the remnants of a Bird.  I was prepaired for a long wipe down and lots of elbow grease to remove them.  I was shocked and elated when I "dusted" them off.  I wish I had thought to apply the solution to my wheel pants before I left.  I have used Rejax before and it pales in comparison"  TT  Georgia

  • "Norm, I have purchased and used just about 'every' type of cleaner/wax marketed for aircraft you can imagine (Rejex, Flitz, WashWaxAll, Protect All, FastWax, Race Glaz etc.) in the quest for the 'easiest' with the best protection.  I Hate Bugs.. and have tried even more products on my leading edges.  I received your sample of BAAM  "Bugs Away" . =Unquestionably, hands down winner to remove bugs from the leading edges and windshield with only two applications.  I understand it provides even better results the more you use it.  Spray and wipe...it's that simple."  TC

  • "Norm, I have used the Free sample of Bugs Away a number of times on the leading edges of my SR20 and it seems to work great, and requires no elbow grease."  JS Melborn Florida

  • "Norm, I have now used the Bugs Away in multiple application on the plane including wings, belly, windows, and a total wash job.  It has worked in every application and think it is, by far, the best stuff I have used for the surface of the plane so far.  Based on my use of so far, I do not think I need to wax or Wing Waxers.  I really try to keep my plane clean and meticulously wipe the belly after every few flights.  The Bugs Away has kept the belly very easy to maintain and is easier to use then wax, Bugs were never a problem on the belly shich underscores the fact that this stuff is MORE that just a bug "repellant".  It is a skin protectant as well."  BT Potomac MD

  • "Norm, The magic solution works as you said and better.  I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and the bug hassle has gone to about zero.  Windsheild stays cleaner, almost as if it repels the bugs.  Please consider packing it in gallons to use as refills."  RH  Fenton MI

  • "Norm, Baam has been very effective at removing Coastal Georgia bugs.  As you indicated, with subsequent applications, the product becomes more and more effective.  My optical labs have also found the product to be very good for cleaning spectacle lenses.  they seem to like BAAM better than any other lens cleaner." WL Georgia

  • "Norms use of BAAM on his plane for one year has done nothing to harm the TKS deicing system in fact, in comparing it to other TKS Cirrus aircraft it seems to be protecting  the sealant that is used to trim the metal to the fiberglass.  Norms plane shows know decaying of the rubber used that trims the metal to the fiberglass.  Other aircraft I’ve looked at the rubber is starting to peal off or decay.  Norms product seems to protect it.” Albatross Aviation,  Tim at  OZW

  • "Hey Norm, We also use it onour CNC machines and other factory equipment to keep things clean and looking like new.  We buy by the five gallon bucket.  Besides working good it also happens to be cheaper then anything elsewe have used.  Employes seem to take better care of stuff when it looks good."  Don Cislo  Glendale Hts, Illnois.

  • I have been using your product for almost two years now and continue to get comments that my plane looks like it was just washed. In reality, I last used BAAM to wash my plane over six months ago and have just been using it to clean the leading edges between flights. I accumulate 200 hours per year in my Mooney and enjoy keeping it looking great with BAAM. Thanks for creating it!
